Empowering Our Community Through Growth
Recognizing the changing needs of our current Villagers, and with the needs of our future Villagers top of mind, we have embarked on an ambitious campus revitalization project. Hope Village has provided a forever home for individuals with intellectual and cognitive disabilities since 1970 on our 18-acre Friendswood campus.
The core of our mission is represented in the warmth of our five residential homes, where Villagers and staff truly live as family units. Thus, it seems only fitting that the first phase of our GROW WITH HOPE CAMPAIGN begins at Home. Begun at the start of 2024, the first phase of this campaign will result in the total renovation of all 5 residential houses. As most of our homes were built in the 70s and early 80s, they are all in need of renovations to improve the safety and quality of life for Villagers and bring the facilities up to 21st century construction standards with space reconfiguration to accommodate larger communal spaces and individualized staff support.
With the incredible support and leadership of the Hope Village Board of Directors, along with generous donations from community members we have been blessed to have completed the renovations of both House 5 & 2, with the renovations of House 3 underway, all within 2024. The speed with which we have been able to tackle this renovation project would not be possible without the support and generosity of individuals like you. As we receive no state or federal funding, projects like this truly rely on the community belief of our mission, and support of our fabulous Villagers, so thank you for believing in us.
With work on House 4 slated to begin in first quarter of 2025, with House 1 following shortly after, it is only with the support of community members and the generosity of the friends of Hope Village that we are able to complete this ambitious campaign.
The Campus Renovation Campaign is a pivotal initiative aimed at improving our facilities to better serve our Villagers, both now and into the future. This campaign is essential as it allows us to provide larger communal living spaces, accommodate more space for individualized staff support, and provide 21st state-of-the-art facitilites to foster a supportive and inclusive community for all. By enhancing our infrastructure, we are committed to offering enriched residential and social opportunities that empower our residents and their families.
