Hope Village, the Friendswood, Texas based non-profit organization dedicated to providing superior yet affordable care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities,  will launch its second-annual “Faces of Hope” fundraising campaign this May.

Born in 2021 as a necessary alternative to in-person fundraising, “Faces of Hope” is designed to spread positive recognition and inspiration throughout Friendswood and neighboring cities.

The fundraiser invites the public to nominate individuals and businesses who have existed as “Faces of Hope” within their own lives.  The inaugural campaign saw nearly 50 nominations throughout the Bay Area, and Hope Village hopes to surpass those numbers for this year’s campaign.

“Faces of Hope” 2022 nominations will be collected via Hope Village’s website throughout the month of May, celebrating persons or businesses that have shined a hopeful light in a person’s life.

Supporters may choose among three yard sign messages to be placed at their nominee’s residence or business, including:

“A Face of Hope Lives Here”

“A Face of Hope Works Here”

“This Business Shines Hope”

“Our mission to support adults with disabilities is made possible because we live in a community that recognizes the importance of serving others,” said Samra Smith, Hope Village’s Director of Community Development.  “Hope Village is thrilled to create this tradition of recognizing dedicated community members and spreading hope, even as we resume in-person fundraising and operations.”

Community members may nominate someone as a Face of Hope by visiting Hope Village’s website, www.hope-village.com/fundraising-and-events, and submitting an online nomination form.
